Teaching Simulations

These three week teaching simulations provided royalties for many years. A couple would still be very relevant. ‘Best Sellers,” for example, provided a wonderful alternative to book reports with students “writing to a publisher to sell the book” after “critiquing it for the author.” It ended with a book fair in which students presented books to one another. Saturation, comparing new journalism with traditional journalism, featured a “World Series of Poker”  and a Poetry Reading for reporting.
